These mixed-media dresses are a combination of natural materials as well as treasures found in stored boxes. Some are from old family photographs and negatives. As I worked with the real photo negatives, I began to see them as a metaphor for my own negative thinking. With a pair of scissors and a few snips, they both can turn into unusual, beautiful art. Other images are made from discoveries while walking, sorting through fabric, and retrieving scraps of used papers.
These images vary in size from 4”x4” to 16”x20”. If you see something you’re interested in, let me know and I’ll send you more details.
