YOGA and CHANT: A PERFECT MARRIAGE
Wednesday mornings, February 1-22, 10:45am-11:45am
Location: Bainbridge Yoga House
If you are a beginning or advanced yogi, you have no doubt sung “OM” as a part of your practice. Imagine going beyond this sacred sound and develop the two limbs of yoga that include the benefits of chanting: Pranayama (breath) and Samadhi (“transcendence of self to merge with the universe”). Join me and yoga teacher, Jen Breen, to experience and incorporate yoga postures and movements with sounds, toning, and chants to deepen your practice. Each week, you will experience the integration of sacred sound (mantra) with yoga and then learn chants for your own personal practice.
This class is best suited for those familiar with yoga and willing to engage in doing so during the workshop. A suggested pre-requisite is Chanting being offered on January 21st.
The Bainbridge Yoga House is located near Battle Point Park in a serene, restful, wooded area. Directions will be given at registration.
Jen Breen teaches yoga at her studio Bainbridge Yoga House. She teaches with heart, clarity and humor. She appreciates how yoga reminds us to self care and to self realize. She has been studying yoga almost 20 years and has trained with Erich Schiffman, Baron Baptiste, Bikram and Cintra Brown. Her current teachers are her four young children.

Vocal Improvisation with Rebekka Goldsmith
Saturday, February 18th, 10am-1:30pm
Experience the wonders of our voices joined together in Improvisational and Circle Singing. Rebekka Goldsmith will be our guide for vocal delight, play, and incredible sound. Spend a fun and highly engaging afternoon. Learn beautiful songs and explore rhythm, harmony and melody in the creation of spontaneous music!
No experience necessary! This is for the trained and untrained singer. One of Rebekka’s gifts is her work with people who have never done improvisation before. You will be amazed!
Where: Forest Glade Retreat Center (Jennifer’s studio)
